Mike has been practicing all aspects of insurance defense and workers’ compensation since 1983. He is Of Counsel with Ritsema Law, and he has extensive experience in litigation and dispute resolution. He advises clients and offers practical solutions to successfully resolve workers’ compensation, subrogation and insurance defense issues. Once it is determined that no other resolutions are feasible, Mike aggressively litigates the case. In order to provide the highest quality representation for insureds, carriers and employers, he keeps current with the latest developments before all appellate tribunals.

In his career, he has defended a variety of complex medical and bodily injury claims before various tribunals. Mike has made many presentations at various seminars, including the annual meeting of the Colorado Defense Lawyers Association. He is past co-chair of the CDLA workers’ compensation section. He has also authored “Work Related Stress Claims,” an article which appeared in the Colorado Lawyer.
