Brian Duckworth

Brian joined Ritsema Law in February of 2024. He is a native of Iowa, who earned his undergraduate degree from Princeton University and law degree from Santa Clara School of Law. He started his practice in the field of workers’ compensation defense in 2000, and has represented and defended employers, insurance carriers, and third-party administrators throughout multiple jurisdictions. Prior to moving to Arizona with his family and joining the firm, Brian was a shareholder with a defense firm in Oregon. While attending law school and during the earlier years of his law practice, he was also an officer in the United States Army Reserve. As a Captain, he spent a year overseas in Iraq.

In addition to practicing law, much of Brian’s time is devoted to his wife and two active teenagers. He is an avid baseball fan and has spent many years coaching his children’s baseball and softball teams.
