About

Jennifer Gulbin initially joined Ritsema Law in 2019.  After a few years of working in insurance defense, medical malpractice defense, and plaintiffs’ personal injury, she returned to Ritsema in January 2025 and plans to stay put.  Jennifer represents insurance carriers and employers in workers’ compensation matters.

A native of Scranton, Pennsylvania (home of “The Office”), Jennifer earned her undergraduate degree in philosophy from Bucknell University, graduating cum laude.   She earned her law degree from Arizona State University in 2019.    At ASU, Jennifer earned four CALI awards (awarded for the highest grade in the class), served as a TA in Professional Responsibility, and reactivated the ASU chapter of the Animal Legal Defense Fund, serving as its president.

Prior to becoming an attorney, Jennifer worked as a workers’ compensation TPA in Washington state for nearly 15 years.  In that capacity, she represented the interests of employers and retrospective rating groups before the Department of Labor & Industries and the Board of Industrial Insurance Appeals (BIIA). Jennifer personally represented her clients in hearings if she determined that she could prevail without an attorney. In fact, one of the cases she won without the assistance of counsel was deemed a “Significant Decision” by the BIIA and has been cited in numerous cases since. These successes inspired Jennifer to obtain her law degree.

Jennifer enjoys spending time in sunny Arizona with her husband, their elderly dog, and their two wild and crazy cats.
