Kelsey Perkins

Kelsey is a proud Colorado native and joined the firm in December 2025. Kelsey has a multi-state background in prosecution and criminal law and has both her Colorado and Utah bar licenses. Before joining Ritsema, Kelsey worked as a Deputy District Attorney in the 8^th Judicial District in Fort Collins as well as in Utah at the Salt Lake County DA’s Office.

Kelsey received her JD from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law where she was honored with the Provost Scholarship, Bobbie Lou Mae Award, and Public Good Distinction. Throughout law school Kelsey interned with three different Colorado DA’s offices where she practiced under the Colorado Student Practice Act.

The legal industry is Kelsey’s second career – she used to be a television news reporter, anchor, and producer in New York City for 7 years, working for prestigious networks like NBC, CBS, and Fox News Channel.

In her free time, Kelsey loves to snowboard, hike, camp, and see live music at Red Rocks.
