Areas of Practice
Ashley Joined Ritsema Law in 2023, where she focuses her practice on defense for workers’ compensation carriers. Prior to coming to Ritsema Law, Ashley served for almost 10 years at the Adams County District Attorney’s Office, most recently as a Senior Deputy District Attorney in the Child Victim Unit. During her tenure at the District Attorney’s Office, Ashley did approximately 75 jury trials and argued in front of the Colorado Court of Appeals. Before that Ashley clerked for the Honorable Chief Judge Michelle Amico and the Honorable Thresa M. Slade in the 18th Judicial District.
As a Colorado native, Ashley obtained her undergraduate degree from University of Colorado – Boulder. She attended law school at University of Denver, where she was a staff editor of the Law Review and mock trial coach for the Student Trial Lawyers Association. Ashley graduated in May of 2012 and became a member of the Colorado bar in October of 2012. Outside of work Ashley is an avid hiker and enjoys going to the farmer’s market.
