Caleb joined the firm in August 2025. He has a strong background in criminal defense, public service, international law, veterans advocacy, and immigration.
Before joining Ritsema Law, Caleb worked with the Colorado Office of the State Public Defender in the Boulder Regional Office, where he handled county court trials, appeals, and post-conviction matters. He is particularly experienced in appellate work and post-conviction relief.
Caleb has been recognized for his commitment to access to justice, earning National Pro Bono Honor Roll honors and being named Pro Bono Law Student of the Year. He remains active in the legal community through the American Bar Association, International Bar Association, National LGBTQ+ Bar, and Colorado bar associations.
Outside of practice, Caleb coaches the CU Law Philip C. Jessup International Law Moot Court team, speaks French, and is a dual U.S.–Canadian citizen. His approach to advocacy is informed by a global perspective and a deep commitment to serving clients with compassion and respect.
